Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection with Partial Shading
In case of partial shading, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to adapt to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the BlueSolar device will always maximize energy yield by adapting to the optimal MPP.
Exceptional Efficiency
No cooling fan. Maximum efficiency over 98%. Full discharge current up to 40°C (104°F).
Flexible Charging Algorithms for Multiple Battery Types
Eight pre-programmed algorithms (Lead Acid, AGM, GEL, LiFePO4 etc., see manual for additional information).
Three-Stage Adaptive Charging
The BlueSolar MPPT charge controller is configured for a three-stage charging process: Constant Current - Constant Voltage - Constant
Voltage Charging Constant Current Phase During this phase, the controller delivers as much charging current as possible to quickly charge the batteries. Constant Voltage Phase When the battery voltage reaches the constant voltage setting, the controller switches to constant voltage mode.Â
If only weak discharges occur, the constant voltage time is shortened to prevent overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the constant voltage phase is automatically extended to ensure the battery is fully charged.Â
The constant voltage phase ends as soon as the charging current drops below 2A. Trickle Charging During this phase, the trickle charge voltage is applied to the battery to keep it fully charged.

1) Solar system voltage must exceed Vbat + 5V for the controller to start. After that, the
minimum solar system voltage at Vbat is + 1V.
2) Higher short circuit current may damage the controller if the PV system is reversely connected.
